Music Therapy Services

ESA Program.

  • The Indiana ESA Scholarship Program, run by the Treasurer of State, is a statewide program set up to establish education scholarship accounts that provide grants to parents of eligible students. Account holders have the opportunity to customize their educational experience by using these funds for qualified educational expenses like music therapy. Music therapy opportunities could include individual services, group services, or attendance of events held by Aspire.

  • Please contact Nicole at nicole@aspiremusictherapy.com to inquire about setting up these services!

Medicaid Waiver.

  • Individuals with Indiana’s Medicaid Waiver Program can have music therapy added to their Waiver services at no cost to them. Those on the FSW and CIH Waiver are qualified for this. Sessions are often 45 minutes in length, but can be longer based on client need and interest. Services are provided in home and at our music therapy clinic, located at 100 Baker Drive North, Fort Wayne, IN 46835.

  • Please contact our Administrative Assistant, Kelsey Betz, at 260-255-4502, ext 0 or email contact@aspiremusictherapy.com to discuss setting up services.

We will need to know if you need in-home services or can come to our clinic and what your scheduling availability is. If we have openings that fit your schedule, we’ll set up an intake meeting to go over our company policies and will need you to sign a “Pick List” for Aspire with your case manager.

Nursing Homes & Hospice.

  • Music Therapy is a great addition to care for older adults, both in an individual and group setting. We are more than entertainment - we provide opportunities for clients to participate in music making, build relationships, and are trained to adapt in a safe manner. Music Therapy can be used to:
    - decrease feelings of isolation,
    - increase physical activity
    - reminisce and orient to reality,
    - provide pain management,
    - decrease anxiety,
    - increase quality of life, and more!

  • Please reach out to our owner, Nicole Keller, at 260-255-4502, ext 1 or nicole@aspiremusictherapy.com to get information on pricing, funding options, and how we can tailor a program that fits best for your facility and residents.

Recovery & Mental Health.

  • Music Therapy supports holistic care for mental health and recovery treatment, both in an individual and group setting. Music Therapy is an allied health profession that provides non-pharmacological support through live music making. We provide opportunities for clients to actively participate in music experiences in a safe environment, such as songwriting, song discussion, playing instruments, and more. Music Therapy can be used to:
    - improve emotional processing and expression
    - promote coping skills
    - decrease anxiety, depression, and anger
    - provide positive relational interactions with peers and loved ones,
    - manage physical symptoms, such as pain, nausea, and tension
    - reduce feelings of isolation,
    - support spiritual practices, and more!

Community Groups.

  • Aspire will host community groups from time to time as the seasons and opportunities arise. These can happen in conjunction with local community groups or at our clinic location, which can be found at 100 Baker Drive North, Fort Wayne, IN 46835.

Community groups are often age specific or themed, such as:
    - A Preschool Group
    - A Wellness Group for Adults
    - A Teen Mental Health Group
    - An Older Adults Memory and Movement Group
    - A Drum Circle
    - A Holiday Themed Group

Groups continue to work on music therapy goals, such as motor skills, emotional expression/regulation, and communication. Group settings also allow for new social opportunities.
